There are many fine schools out there as well as bad ones.... personally I attended Spartan School of Aeronautics and felt the instruction was superb! The aircraft are well maintained, instructors knowledgeable, and ground schools did more than just prepare you for the FAA exam. I feel that attending a good flight school has advantages over the local FBO. As mentioned above the availability of multiple aircraft means less cancellations. You also have full time instructors which means you can fly every day the weather allows. This is a big plus because time between flights when learning means more $$ spent. Also depending upon where you go a degree can be combined with the flight program, I don't know of any FBO's that offer an accredited degree.

[quote=dnightenhelser;683996]i am looking into flight schools to become and airline pilot. ive been doing a lot of research and reading a lot of forum posting on the subject. ive found that three schools have caught my attention.
-Flight Safety Academy
-Faclon Flight Sanford Inc
-Epic Flight Academy

Are these good choices? What school would you recommend?

Try out skyventure (www.skyventureinc.com). Excellent school! I was there last year. They have got new airplanes, good facility, very nice people and they deliver what they promise! They do not rip you for money. Despite other schools, that just accept students without looking at their capacity, Skyventure does not take more students compare to what they can handle. And they do not force you to fly a bad simulator either. I was very satisfied!
