Default Teaching Motion in Science Class

Hope I posted this in the correct forum.

I will be teaching a middle school level class on the topic of motion. I thought to discuss Newtons three laws and how they pertain to wings, reciprocating engines, propellers, turbine engines, and rockets.

Also what forces are on the aircraft when at rest, the takeoff roll, and reverse thrust.

Any ideas you all might have as to material that should be presented? Anything that would make this interesting to this age group?

For visual aids, I only have models of the 727 and 737 and a cockpit poster of the 737NG.

Get an old time balsa wood airplane with rubber band, wind it up, hold on to the fuselage and show them which way the propeller spins. wind it up again then hang on to the prop, see which way the fuselage spins...... hope that helps.
