Richmond FSDO

Just wondering if anybody has gone through any CFII checkrides with the Richmond FSDO? I have one coming up in the next week or two. Just waiting on a call back for the date.

Why are you going through the FSDO for it? Do it with a DPE (unless your doing the II as your initial).

yea I am doing it as my initial..that way i can do my MEI and CFI together.

If the oral wears you out, ask for a continuance and come back for the flight later. It will take almost the entire day for the oral and flight together.

I did my private, and instrument out of Hanover County Airport (just north of RIC) and my commercial multi out of RIC. I didn't use FSDO but I would suggest Margaret Morrison (DPE who does most of the checkrides in that area). I don't have her contact info anymore but I'm sure you can find it online. She's very fair and she won't make it last any longer than it has to.
