please don't fall for this bs!!! don't take his bait! I am not sure how corporate jobs are handled but will insurance cover you with that little amount of flying time? tell him that you will sign the $60k check after you get the corporate job that he says it's "easy to get" and see what he says
good luck

Yes, absolutely ! the local FBO (or FBO's--shop and compare), is the way to go.
Forget the BS about a corporate job--not going to happen.
In the end, the only thing that really matters is that little green plastic card with the fancy FAA hologram. Again, your local FBO.

If he is quoting you 60k plan on it being 80k. I guarantee it. PLEASE don't fall into this trap! I highly doubt he can guarantee you a corporate job. Do not listen to these recruiters. There job is to bring you in and say anything to get you to write a check. 60k is way to much money to be paying for those certificates.ratings. You should be able to pay 1/2 that to acquire these. If you pay them 60k you are a total sucker. Do you realize you're paying an average of $315 an hour to rent an airplane? I assume he is quoting you a 141 program at 190 hours. Keep in mind 1/2 of the 190 hours will be solo. What are you thinking? You really need to investigate all your options.
A 61 program is the way to go at your local FBO or another flight school.
50 hours x $150 $7500 for a private
50 time building for your instrument $100 an hour $5000
40 hours dual $150 an hour for instrument 6000
80 hours time building $100 for commercial $8000
20 hours dual for commercial $200 $4000
20 hours multi $250 $5000
total $35,500 and have 60 more hours.
Now add $10000k for all your CFI's and you have a lot more then what they are charging and you will be able to find a job instructing for a total of $45000.
60K at Pan Am will find you shelling out another $30k to achieve the same thing as I out lined above.

I personally don't like the 141 programs at these high profile schools, U spend most of the time with your instructor sitting with you as a safety Pilot.
One never becomes a real pilot if U don't fly alone...... U have to fly at least 100 hrs alone ALONE in the aircraft to make PIC decisions, to become a REAL PILOT IN COMMAND
3-4 years ago I gave the same math to someone in my family, his parents did not agree with my theory & send him to the High profile looking DELTA Connection Academy, now known as Aerosim in Sanford Florida. Today, he is a CFI MEI with another name brand part 141 school & with $70,000 dollars of student loans on his head, he realizes that he could have saved at least $30,000.00 by following my advised route & advises the same to other aspiring Pilots in family & friends network.
Don't go to any name brand school, it doesn't give any extra education, same Commercial cert & same CFI which U pass only when FAA examiner passes your check ride. The name of the school is only worth the ink it stays on your resume, what ever it is worth..........

I had a family member go to this school. He said it was ok, and went through it rather rapidly. He paid for the extra multi time, which was crucial in getting him a job at a regional, but he ended up paying around 85k.
I am at a university 141 program, so I am not too familiar with schools like pan am, Jetstream, or ATP. All I do know is that they have a negative reputation in the airline industry. professionals pilots that I talk to seem to never have a good word to say about these types of fast track flight schools.
My University says it will take 42k to get through the program. This does not include muli or CFI, which adds an additional 15-20k. Apart from local fbo's these costs are pretty consistent among the aviation university flight schools. Places like Riddle and UND of course cost more.
