XC/Flight Following Question
#11
Congrats kaputt. It sounds like your initial solo x/c was more of a success than mine!
I used to fly out of Newport News myself some. You parked right next to the company I used to work for that is based out the airport.
We share another similarity on the trip. The first USMC aircraft I ever saw was on one of my solo x/c to Amarillo, TX. I parked next to a CH-53A from HMH-772 (Det B) with MAG-41 that use to be out of NAS Dallas. I ate dinner in the little airport cafe and watched the crew leave and ground taxi that beast!
Recently I returned to Amarillo after 20+ years and I can still picture the scene. You'll build great memories and have stories to tell for your career based off these flights. Enjoy them for all they are worth.

Congrats kaputt! Sounds like you had a good time. You can upload the pics here using a service like photobucket. Just go to Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket, create an account there, and upload your photos. Then there will be an "IMG" link available for each of your photos. Simply copy and paste that link into a post here and voila! Your pictures are in your post here...
Have fun on your next Cross country! By the way, what type of airplane did you do it in?
