Default Degree ?

Im starting flight training this summer at Jacksonville University. They have a bachelors in aviation management and flight operations. This is intertwined with the commercial pilots license along with instructor ratings. I am curious what is the point of a degree in aviation management if I have the flight ratings. I dont think Ill ever want to be in charge of an airport. I figured it would be more helpful to have a degree in something else to have a fallback job if their is issues with my employment as a pilot...Any info would be helpful here as far as the point of this degree.

There is no point to that degree. Get on in a field you like and could potentially pay like you expect to get in aviation. A backup career is essential whether or not you make it to the mainlines.
