Default Potomac Flight Training

My new company is out shopping for King Air 350 training as I am a new hire, I thought I would help in the search. Has anybody done any training at this company Potomac Flight Training. I looked at their website, not very well put together. They claim they conduct actual flight training in a King Air is this true? If so I wonder how well maintained it is. I have heard through the rumor mill that it is a very poorly run organization with inexperienced instructors.

Your input would be appreciated!

They have aircraft out of Leesburg and I know a few of the people there as well as the instructors. I teach out of Leesburg at a part 61 flightschool and see their aircraft a fair amount. I haven't trained with them, but I know the instructors and they are very well qualified. I think you should reach out to them and perhaps ask for a reference.

Do your self a favor and look else where. I will not get into details in public but steer clear! If you want more info pm me. There is a sharp King Air training facility in Concord NC, I would give them a shout!

That's FlyRight. I don't know if they can do 350 initial, yet, but they're working on it. I've talked to the, several times and they seem like a good bunch. Simcom will do the training in the sim, but you need a plane for the check.

That Potomac company is aka Avenge, Inc.

FlyRight, Inc. just got their Level D full motion King Air 350 simulator online, and approved by the FAA for everything, including Part 135 checks and initial. Their customer service is outstanding, sim is outstanding, pricing way better than FS - they are a boutique shop that specializes in KA training, and they excel. Their instructors are current KA pilots, not sim instructors from some other airplane.

Worth a good hard look, for sure.

I haven't trained with them but I know two of the instructors there. THe Chief Pilot has a tremendous amount of instructing experience in GA aircraft to include the King Air 350. He has also flown several heavies and corporate jets so he has experience in a wide range of aircraft. The aircraft itself is in beautiful condition and they take great care of it over at KJYO.

I've met a couple of Avenge pilots who had nothing but positive things to say about Potomac. Hope this helps!
