AGI-IGI 8710 Question
When a licensed pilot/cfi is filling out an 8710 for the AGI and IGI certificate:
1. Must one include their flight time totals?
2. Should one include their flight time totals?
Finally getting this knocked out this week and trying to figure out if it would be beneficial or detrimental to furnish that information. I assume all logs of flight time would have to be made available to the FSDO when I go if do put the flight time on my 8710.
Thanks

YES!! I would without a doubt include all your current times!
No its not required but it saved my bacon big time for doing it. When I did my IGI at the FSDO the Inspector had some issues with the computer so he asked if I had a paper back up in hand which I did. We sat down and did everything by hand. Well with all the confusion plus the contents of my flight bag spread across the table in the exam room I managed to leave my logbook on the table. After I made it home I realized what had happened and called the FSDO but they were already closed. I called back the first thing next morning. The Inspector looked everywhere for the logbook. It was never seen again!! No one had a clue how it disappeared from a secure federal building but that was in 2012-13 and I still do not have it. I started a new logbook and have a notarized statement and a copy of the 8710 from the FSDO that day in a pocket attached to my new logbook. So far no one has given me any grief about it but I'm curious if I jump to 121 if they will.
Any 121 recruiters that read this feel free to either PM me or reply with your thoughts!

Quick update on this just in case anyone else stumbles across this thread trying to find out the same thing:
The inspector at the FSDO wasn't interested in my times that I put on my IACRA 8710 (which I suspected would be the case), and didn't even ask for, or open my logbook.
