Default Single engine ATP

I have to get my single engine ATP for my job and was looking for some test prep software. I talked to Shepard but they don't carry anything. To the few people who actually got the single ATP, what software did you use and what was your experience? And to answer the "why don't you just get your multi ATP?" crowd, I don't have the money.

What test prep are you talking about? For the written exam?

Try Dauntless. www.dauntless-soft.com. They do an ok job. I used them for my ATP ME test back in the day. Everything translates to the SE ATP minus the ME specific stuff.

Not sure if this is the correct place to ask. Can you advise? What does it cost to get a sports pilot license?

I think it's flight school specific and it most likely depends on where you are, but I've heard around 5k here in SoCal.

Thanks for the website. Used it and passed and now getting upgraded at my company. Buy you a beer if you're ever in SoCal.

Congrats! I'm in SoCal right now but the beer is free where I'm staying.

The ATP written test applies to both single and multi engine airplane ratings. The rotorcraft written test is different. I got my single engine ATP in 1976 (in a Cessna 172) to help getting my airline job. Nobody ever asked if I had a multi ATP, and in fact I did not get my multi ATP until my rating ride on the 747-400.
