Default DSU Flight Program HELPPP plss

Hello good afternoon fellow aviators, I've posted several threads about topics like this, i know i know. So i'm in my last year of high school in fl and i have to start APPLYING NOW for colleges, so I've canceled the ERAU, college and local flight school and the military choice. I know that the college and flight school is the best option since you could earn degree in another thing but my mom wants me to go to a university with an aviation program such as erau but that's too expensive. I am wondering if Delta state university's aviation program's good since they have a relatively low tuition and i can that covered with financial aid and scholarships. except the flight costs which i can pay over time, i just want to know of its a good school based on some of your guys experience or maybe you had a pilot friend that went there. BTw yes i want to become an Airline Pilot. Thanks to all of those people that will take their time and help out.

Nobody will care where you went to school.

Nobody will care where you got your flight training.

Can't say anything about the school. Can say I wouldn't go back to that part of Mississippi.

Nobody cares where you got your degree from, as long as you have a degree. If you can get a 4year degree plus flight training at a reasonable cost jump at the chance. My son looked into ERAU and the costs were excessive. There are other options out there

Yes sir that's the same reason why I cancelled the Erau option, im looking at Delta since the tuitiom Is relatively low , the while Cost for the flight training And the degree Is 111k Which Is way lower than most schools.

I will start by saying that my favorite part of a trip to Mississippi is leaving. You had stated that you are from Florida in your first post. The part of Mississippi you are looking at is known as the delta, so be prepared for culture shock. Arrange a tour of the campus, and see what you think.

I just now saw this thread.

I got my masters at DSU. It is a small but good program and the tuition is very reasonable. I have worked with the current Dean and it is a good program.

I would recommend it if you are on a budget. They try to a great deal with less and generally because they are in a very low cost area, Cleveland MS, they succeed.

Is 111K really the low end of getting a degree and licenses?
