ALTP to FAA
Hello
I want to hear about at whom to call or contact if you want to change his ATPL to the FAA. However, it should be said that I currently is in the middle of the pilot studies. I have taken all ATPL exams and only have the CPL and instument flyving left before I finish.
Will it be possible to "convert" my theory and take the rest of my flight training in the U.S or will I have to start all over again with the theory as well? Hope you can refer me to the right people to contact or tell me a little more about how it works.

As far as I know. You will be required to sit all the FAA theory exams. They're not difficult. From what I remember the FAA will grant you a ppl if you have on your foreign license but the processing takes time and I'm not sure if it's still is permitted. Quicker just to do the check rides. They will accept verified hours of previous training/experience to go towards CPL/ATP.
Best bet is to talk to a flight school. I did my conversion years back with Corvallis aero services in Oregon. Great place to train, not too busy and KCVO has an ILS plus all the other approaches you want. They were really helpful and we got the job done.
Good luck.

As Jet Stream said, you can't count foreign theory exams for the FAA written. If you hold a foreign commercial license with an IR or a foreign ATP you will have to have your CAA verify your license to the FAA, complete an ATP Certificate Training Program, pass the ATP written and pass a checkride. If you are doing the ride in a light twin you will also need at least a FAA third class medical. If you are doing the ATP ride as part of a type rating you will need to complete a part 142 training program but you won't need the medical.
