I am in the process of applying to Flight Safety Academy as well.
I have spoken to them at length on the phone and the overall program seems to be better put together then ATP. The individual whom I spoke to, Brian, seemed well versed in the schools programs and additional offerings that help out the students while they are there. Additionally they have Career Counsellors and focus on a one-on-one model. I would love to communicate with someone who had previously attended Flight Safety.
I am planning on starting on the 6th of October this year.

It's not that ATP won't take VA benefits, it's the VA who won't allow its money to be used at ATP. Post 9/11 GI BIll benefits can only be used at a Part 141 VA approved school and the OP would be nuts to pay for flight training anywhere else when they can use their benefits to pay for it at one of those select schools.

I would suggest Aviator College. At one point, most of your total time was in a ME a/c. I believe it was out of a total of 265 hours, 200 of it was ME. Today it 91 hrs of ME out of a TT of 225 hrs.
