Default Asiana Airlines

I've successfully passed my interview with Asiana Airlines, however it seems I have run into a road block. The are requesting a certification of my flight hours I've flown with from my previous employers (regional airlines). To my knowledge, PRIA records don't include flight time flown. Do airline companies keep track of pilot flight time hours flown at their companies? If not, is there any other way to certify my flight time hours flown at my previous employers?

Take your logbooks to your chief pilot. He/she will be able to certify your hours. It's as simple as a stamp on a page in your logbook. Contains some texts (I hereby certify the hours flown blah blah blah) and a space for a signature. CP signs it, presto.

That's exactly how I did it for a foreign interview; and exactly how I was instructed to do it by the foreign airline. I believe they call it logbook certification.

Some airlines can provide you a log of your flights and times. Try contacting a department that sounds right (like flight records)

If you're truly serious about working for an airline that is requesting certification if your hours, I strongly encourage you to have your chief pilot certify your logbook. It's not at all an unusual request, and the chief pilot will know exactly what to do.

If you cannot meet with your chief pilot, contact Asiana and ask what they require in lieu of flight hour certification. Some companies will accept a written letter (again signed by your chief pilot) verifying your flight hours.

My point is that Asiana is looking for certified flight hours from your previous or current employer. They want a signature certifying your flight time. Simply mailing, faxing, or scanning your flight hours in from your previous or current employer, most likely, will not meet the standards they are demanding.

Of course, this is all just advice. Others will have their own opinions and advice. My advice is coming from 4 invitations to interview at 4 foreign carriers. 2012-2016 time frame. 2 I never went to interview after deciding I wouldn't want to work there. 1 I interviewed and was ultimately handed a TBNT. The last one I interviewed at offered me a job. A problem during the medical meant I couldn't accept.

Each airline required a stamped, certified logbook from my employers.

I would suggest if you are still at your current employer you get a "Director" to certify your logbook/flight time... D/O will normally do, some Foreign Carriers require Director or higher... Also if the Chief will, get a "Letter of Employment"... This is a Letter stating the dates of employment, equipment and position... No fluff so HR will approve... Normally now days the DO/Chief should have a embossed stamp or Multi color ink for the task...

Unfortunately, one of the airline is out of business. The others don't have my records since its been more then 5 yrs since I resigned. However, I managed to get the hours certified.
