Default Canada?

How difficult is it for an American citizen to obtain the right to work in Canada and transfer the pilot license?
How much easier would it be if one were to marry a Canadian?

Hi!

It's easy to add US/Canada. Pay fee, 40 question written test.

Need Canadian medical.

ONe of our guys got th rights to work in Canada, with his wife being a US citizen. Costs some money, and takes some time-don't know the details.

Here are details on the license...

I can think of various smart**s comments regarding marriage, but we all know them already so I'll refrain.

Seriously, I dunno about RTW, but I'd start with a Canadian government website equivalent to our INS. Here's something ...

Hey back off!!! Wait till we're outa pilots up here before you take a job from us. We all know it's easier for an American to work in Canada than vise versa, but there are more jobs in the states, so please, unless you're going to retire soon, stay out!!

I'm obviously being mainly sarcastic (being Canadian I can't really get mad at ya, eh!), but considering my points above, and that I'm low time looking for a job, there is truth to my request.

No, they're not, at least on a per-capita (and even per-pilot) basis.

No disrespect intended, but it's your government that would be letting him in, so write your MP.

And I'm still trying to figure out the answer to this ...

How much easier would it be if one were to marry a Canadian
the question has deep philosophical implications. Physical ones, too, if my (American) wife sees this posting.
