Default Lagos Nigeria .

What are the living and working condition's in Nigeria for pilot's?
Just trying to get info for those who may be trying to get work at a start up. Been years since I was there and my info is probably dated.
Thanks in advance.

Dana Air offered me a Direct Entry Captain (DEC) for the MD-80. I am curious as what it is like in Nigeria. I have not found a word that was positive. I turned them down for now.

A friend of mine is flying a CRJ out there on a contract, I think he said it best when he said "this place is like Puerto Prince but without all the nice parts"

I'm sure there's a nice part of town. I just haven't found it, nor has anyone told me where it's at.

For the record, I'll be doing a 25 hour layover there. While I won't leave the hotel, unless it's on fire, I can ask around.

funny! Lagos is horrible, don't let anyone tell you different. I knew someone flying a CRJ-900 for Arik for 6 mos and said it was by far the worst place he has ever been ANYWHERE in the world.

All I know about Lagos is that there is a banker (or a government minister, I forget which) there that really, really really wants me to hold some money for him in my bank account!

I have seen flightbag stickers that say "Happiness is Vr at Lagos".

Delta crews fly into Lagos, unload, then fly empty to Sal Island, a couple of hundred miles west of Africa to layover and refuel.
