Default Caribbean Flying for Americans?

I was just curious as to what airlines flying in the Caribbean hire American pilots. I need to wrap my head around something other than the U.S. airline industry right now. It may not be any better down there, but I would like to start thinking outside the box.
I know WinAir hires American pilots, but you also need to go and get a DHC-6 type rating prior to training with them. I also know that they just furloughed almost all of their American pilots and ended up hiring more local pilots. I didn't think it was legal to hire when you have pilots on furlough but obviously things are different down there.
Any other airlines down there that would be worth looking into? Thanks guys

If you check out pprune there is some gouge on flying in the caribbean, but if you don't have rights to work in these places, your best bet would be Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands

I can not wait till things start to pick up so I can try to find a gig in Puerto Rico. My dad is out there and its been a while since I have been there, but i guess I will have to continue my CFI training in lovely Miami . Don't get me wrong I can not wait to start teaching, but I could totally see myself flying a small twin around the islands for the rest of my life.

You may try Cape Air and also Seaborne Airlines out of St Croix are actively hiring. They fly multiengine seaplanes. Check their respective websites for more info.

I lived down in Puerto Rico while I was based down there with Cape Air. Unfortunately with PR and the USVI you're still running into the good ol' USA economy. A lot of the companies that operate down there are mainland based. I hear good things about Seaborne though. I've talked to their pilots and they seem happy. Vieques Airlink guys seem pretty happy too. Nice thing about PR and the USVI is that they don't require anything more than your standard USA pilot certificates.

It was 10F with windchill here in PA this morning...missing PR everyday!
