Thumbs down Ryanair(CEO) still up to no Good

Wasn't there a thread talking about single pilot airliners in the hangar section? I know this won't happen that soon but O'Leary is the leader for all airline CEOs....soon as they see it can be done they will jump at this idea next.

Ryanair's O'Leary: The Duke of Discomfort - BusinessWeek

"Really, you only need one pilot," he continues. "Let's take out the second pilot. Let the bloody computer fly it." What happens if the pilot has a heart attack? One member of the cabin crew on all Ryanair flights would be trained to land a plane. "If the pilot has an emergency, he rings the bell, he calls her in," O'Leary says. "She could take over."

Well, this kind of thing ensures the future of individual and fractional ownership as well as chartered aircraft. Some people believe their time, dignity, and safety are worth something.

By the way, who is that on your avatar???

MOL has a history of having diarrhea of the mouth. His protestations are purely for the purpose of free publicity and controversy. The gnome loves causing a stir and watching people get their knickers in a twist.

Original post??? point proven.

Like a little brat, if the press would ignore the little man he would go away.

here is a good idea from a pilot from RyanAir in response to CEO suggesting F/A flying planes.

Ryanair pilot: sack the boss and save cash - Yahoo! News UK

Nothing like getting owned by your employees... and not in the good "just playing because we like you" kind of way.

This guy is such a douche. He says the most convoluted things for some free publicity.

You see??? it works... With the money MOL has in the bank, public opinion is clearly way at the bottom of his priority list.

Say what you want, but the lad has opened travel throughout Europe to the masses similar to a small carrier in the US... I think it's called Southwest Airlines.
