R$ 6,000 right? Roughly U$3,900 a month (way less than a 4 year Delta FO), living in Sao Paulo, their only base, you wont see too much left by the end of the month.
R$4,000 = U$ 2,570 = Pinnacle second year FO pay.
No too long ago, pilots from Gol were threatining management with a strike, due to ilegal assignments, excessive daily duty hours, vacations been canceled.

What do you guys out there think of life in Sao Paolo?? I know its real expensive but hows the safety factor out thre? Is it nice? I mean, I have two small children and a wife thats not Brazilian so I worry about the QOL out there. My wife speaks good portuguese but not used to the Brazilian lifestyle. My children will adapt Im sure but the safety factor is what worries me. Anyone currently living there, it would be great to get some insight! Thanks!

If you've ever waited in line at passport control at a foreign airport, I think you would agree that TAM FA's are among the best.
Aerolineas Argentina used to be good, but they've gotten old.
Lufthansa has some hotties too.

GOL girls are not bad, however I recently has some COPA/Colombia girls at a party and OM MY GAWD! Colombian women can give the Brazilian girls a run for the money! I dumped my Garota the next day and am planning my next Colombia layovers!

Sorry, not true.
Starting pay at TAM for an FO is roughly $6,000 with extra pay for night flights. Most FOs at TAM make over $100,000/year.
8 days off a month is the minimum required by ANAC (currently under revision) although pilots on domestic routes average 12 days off a month. Those on international routes only fly once or twice a week.
TRIP and Azul start their FOs out at $4,000/ month... Not even close to a regional salary here in the U.S.
