Hi, I left copa in 2018, numbers were around 55k USD NET per year for FO's and around 100k NET for captains. That's including salaries, perdiems, allowances.. everything
At least 9 days off per month, typical roster used to be ~83hr with 10~11 days off. Usually around 900hrs/year with 30 days annual paid leave.
By the time I left the pilots union signed a pretty reasonable payrise for the following years, 2019-2021... but that's been scrapped because of the pandemic. So I guess they are back to 2018 contract.
They do upgrade expats.. used to take 4 ~ 5 years or less if they are in need of captains.

I used to commute to south america, so yes, Florida is definetly possible. It's 2.5hrs flight from Panama and they used to fly a lot to Florida, at least 5 flights a day to MIA/FLL/MCO/TPA. Not sure what the situation is now.

I am working part-time for full pay. I know pensions are rare birds anymore but mine ain't the greatest and doesn't keep up with inflation so I am looking at other options. You must be less busy than me!

I also submitted my app to COPA. Continuingappch have you heard back from them at all or received any correspondance since first applying? I am applying for the FO position as a Panamanian National and originally submitted my app in January of 2022. Just updated it this week with more hours and multi rating so hoping for the best. Has anyone else recently applied or currently accepted a position with them?

Hello Gents,
Does anyone have any info about Panama Civil Aviation Authority regulations regarding Color-Vision deficiency. I'm a FAA license Pilot and currently flying corporate using my FAA licenses and medical and have no issues. I'd apply to Copa and recently received some positive feedback regarding recruitment starting early next year. Just wanted to know if anyone had any info on this matter. Or do they allow Validations or it's a Conversion like the other Civil Authorities?
Cheers
