Default Foreign CFI jobs

I did some digging but didn't come up with any current info, but what are the opportunities that exist for CFI jobs overseas? I have gotten my feet wet with my first CFI job, and am really enjoying teaching; but I'm always looking for some good adventure.

There are schools in Saudi Arabia, The United Arab Emirates, and China that hire U.S. CFIs.

Also, the Hanseo aeronautical university in Korea was hiring US CFIs (if you also have a bachelor degree)

I do have a bachelor's degree and CFI/CFII/MEI.

What schools in China hire FAA CFIs? Is there a big hassle with getting a work permit there?

I suggest you try jetcareers.com

That's more of a starting out website with more info on CFI jobs. There used to be a guy on there who worked for Pan Am academy in China. I believe that school went out of business though.

Bali International Flight Academy has been posting a lot recently. They are needing C172 CFIs. They've been posting on climbto350 and findapilot. Pay is decent: $2,000 per month base US salary + $27/hr for flight/ground/sim + housing & food allowance. They also pay for 2 yearly plane tickets to the US. I was strongly considering them, but decided to stay here (USA). Good luck!

Does anyone on the board have any personal experience with BIFA? You see them advertising a lot, but I haven't really heard any feedback.

Well if it's in Bali, that's a pretty good start.

Unless the allowance for housing is VERY generous, that package doesn't seem very attractive. When I was looking at expat CFI jobs, they were paying $4000-$5000 per month.

I have no idea what the going rate for CFIs is, but based on that pay, if you were doing 100 hours of work a month you'd make $4700. 100 hours doesn't seem too much considering it includes ground duties as well.

Not to mention, Bali is cheap.
