PS.....one of the LCAL pilots retired from United and is running the show as Director of flight ops....he wasn't well liked at UAL...your mileage may vary.

Would be helpful. Thanks!
I just sent my documents, I had my logbook notarized, I currently work as a corporate pilot, I asked the local FSDO about certifying my logbook and that is what they told me to do. let's see what happens.

Default Copa Airlines- Offer to Interview

i used to work in Asia and company stamping the logbook was the norm for the CAA to renew our license. Will try the CPO and see if they can do it, if not then get it notarized.

I'm debating if i should even try, i am married and 2nd year pay at regional is similar as copa's pay. (I'll be an FO).

I do not think anyone should go down there and fly FO. You will be an FO forever (they upgrade whom they want) .....and that will be the kids from Panama first. Also you will need to pay for your ACC certificates (something like $5K) the Capt's do not do this but COPA still finds a way to get you to pay "fees" for all kinds of BS.

I would suggest another route for any FO considering COPA. For Capt's.....its your option just go in with your eyes wide open.

Special consideration given to ex ACA types who have Bolivian experience and love corvettes, Pitts Specials, and Miami shows from the 80s 😎😎😎

Hi guys

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but it seems more suitable to post here than start something new....

I was wondering if anyone knew what has been happening at Copa lately. A few weeks back I received an email from them beginning the recruitment process; asking for documents to be emailed back...and since then they've gone quiet.

For any of you that have been through this process, how long does it typically take to hear back? There's a few of us that are out that are out of a job here in Australia. and are desperately looking for a new one so any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Its pretty much non-stop days off and holidays down here from Novemeber-December. You won't hear anything until January.

Email them again mid-Jan and see if you get anything back.

Furloughed turboprop guy here. Sent all the required documents to them on Oct 28th and still no news from them. I guess I'll have to send them another email for a reminder.
