NTSB investigated along with FAA, Embraer, and NetJets MX and no one could find anything wrong with the Phenom involved. A pair of NRFO pilots did test flights with it and it checked out so was finally returned to service. My guess, and only a guess was some type of software glitch that went away when the jet was powered down. Another reason I'm glad I'm retired and don't have to fly that jet anymore. Had a computer glitch one day up at FL430 that took out our flap control. Had to do a no flap landing. Gotta love the new high tech jets

DJT you work for Embraer now? You sure defend that cute little Phenis of yours like it’s personal....
The dude was interested in what happened and why, simple as that. Hell I am just for a curiosity sake and I have never been in a BJJ(Baby Jungle Jet). Well never one that went faster than 250KTs below 10K .......Hahahahhahahaha. Okay that was a low blow Phenis joke on you. Hahahahahahhaha.
Seems to me a few years ago Beech 400s were double flaming out and dead stick landing a few times before they finally figured out what happened and how to prevent it. Maybe if more people questioned it the first time they could have avoided it happening as many times as it did. I mean it’s not like the FAA writes regulations for things that DON’T go wrong...

If you’d like to have an honest discussion of... well anything, I’d try taking out the emotional tirade.
Nobody cares and you sound like a petulant child.

Not actually retired, it was just easier to say that than explain I'm on Medical LOA. Unlikely I'll be returning thou, but it's possible. And I'd go back to the Phenom. As for my interest, I flew the jet for 3 years and I have a background as an Aircraft Accident Investigator when I was in the military.
Luckily the computer failure that took out our flap control was the worst thing the Phenom ever did to me.

Come on DJT, you have NEVER been above mud slinging. I can look back at hundreds of posts you have written on this and other forums and see that you are then “petulant child”. But I digress. Like I said the dude had an interest and so do I, I mean I need to know when one of these things are going to fall out of the sky at 251 KTS. So stop defending the bird with all your might and spend more time picking up 13 days extended time and managing your food place...

If friends don't let friends fly Phenoms, How does one go to the other platforms? Just straight up tell them at training you aren't going to do it? I'm not going to NJ, but I do have a guy I often work with that is going there in a month or so. Sept class date

if he's over 6 feet tall, they probably won't even try to put him in the Phenom. Tell him to wear his thickest heeled shoe to day 1 training.

If he fits out he'll probably get an Excel or a Latitude.

As with anything in aviation what happens today and change for tomorrow. With that being said, the majority of the new hires lately have been going into the latitude.
