FO: About USD35K after tax. But they only hire Malaysian citizens for FO spots.
Capt: After tax about USD100K. Only about half of that is guaranteed though. The rest is flight/sector pay. If you don't fly, for whatever reason, you'll only get the guaranteed pay.

Just to clarify compensation is based on 3 variables: base + flight + sector. Also since AA placed a 200 Airbus A320 order does this mean the compensation will increase? What of pay increases? And seniority system?

I believe it's base, hourly, and sector pay. Base pay for captains is about MYR13,000/month (~3:1 to the USD so USD4,300) before taxes. Malaysian income tax is about 25% for the kind of salary you'd be making as a captain.
No idea on gouge, seniority or pay increases.

Air Asia does NOT pay for anything for the interview. Out of 7 in my group to interview, only 2 got hired of which one was Malaysian. I learned that no one was hired in previous groups. It was foolish on my part to interview based on Air Asia's hiring history.

With a 200 Airbus 320 order just inked at the Paris Air Show AA has a daunting task of recruiting pilots. Additionally to attract foreign pilots AA will have to offer a competitive compensation package.

Before they increase the salary package you will see them opening up opportunities for non type rated DEC's without weight restrictions et viola' they have an abundant source of cheap labor from the regionals
