I whole heartily agree that changing planes will not alter the fact you are at NetJets. The suck will be strong in any plane. Take it from me, 12 years and 4 fleets, the suck is still present.

As I watched a 350 take off from Nassau to CRQ.....blocking over 6 hours...I'm willing to make a few guesses

Yea I have a friend on IOE in the 350 who sat the first 4 days and did nothing... I think the fleets will average over time.

Even if you get the Longitude or 350, I guarantee that the A team does live in those fleets also when it comes to Hawaii and desirable international. If you want interesting and a bit different culture you can try the right seat of the Global or wait for the 7500 for that right seat. Despite what some others say, the culture truly is different in the Global and you are treated better- I know from being in it. There is definitely the biggest bunch of A team bubbas in the Global, but even that can't stop you from getting to see a lot of international. Most pilots get 4 stripe fever and can't imagine going to 3, but if you feel you need a change of scenery and can take a smaller pay check, you will be quite senior and able to hold schedules and vacations you want. If that isn't what you want, I'd stick it out in the Excel and learn to enjoy life on the road a bit more with the lack of mx reliability. I was in that fleet for over a decade also and the Global SIC position is only one I was willing to move over for due to the fact that pretty much every XL has some grounding item if you look hard enough- life on the road can be quite descent in that fleet. You just won't get the FDP pay. Good luck whatever you decide.

I'm about to start year 18, I'm in the mighty 505 because the seniority works out better. However, for me the cockpit is cramped and uncomfortable. That aspect has me thinking about bidding the 'tude in the near future. Seniority there would suck for a while, but the plane would be more comfortable to fly and I miss having an APU.
