I did work before 117. I didn’t fly cargo but I did my share of 30 hour duty days flying to Asia part 91.

Did that too. And Legal to start, legal to finish.

All I know is my QOL has been worse since 117. Maybe it’s one of the bankruptcy contracts? Maybe it’s pref bidding or “the sodomizer”, but NB QOL at the worlds largest airline has gotten markedly worse in the past 7-8 years.

Didn't intend to start a dick-measuring contest over who has the worst deal.

228 days worked a year does not sound easy....especially at the fractional pace of life. My hat off to you for that kind of W2!

I'm sure he worked less than 228 days- probably 3 or 4 vacation weeks and maybe some PTO days also. There were SICs that made over 400K last year and one claims 500K, but I can't imagine that was any kind of fun if real. I believe it was possible though with the high extended day rate. There is definitely money to be made if you are willing to put in the days, but it takes a whole lot of extra days to do it.

228 - 28 = 200

To add context though, you were a 12 year FO, if I remember correctly?

That is correct, as was most likely the case with with the disputed claim a few posts back. My purpose was to educate those who don't believe the numbers but thank you for participating.

Well, the numbers need context. Just simply throwing out a number is all but meaningless when you don't say that it took 12 years to get there.

The FOs over 400K are 16+ years with the company in the large cabin fleets with 17 year pay scales and could be captain up through at least the Lattitude. I made well over 300K the last 2 years and am in year 17 now as an SIC. I worked a little over 200 days both years. The high extended day rate really cranks it up, but you are definitely working way more days for the money than at the airlines.
