i didn't have to draw any system. Did end up digging through the excel manaul but just to look at clomb gradients and landing distances. i had never seen a citation book before either. its was no big deal. this was all over 1 year ago, don't think much has changed though.

I didn't have to draw a system or look through any manuals. It will most likely vary based on your background and experience though. I'm an ex-military type... I felt I overprepared for the interview, but I'd much rather do that than the other way around.

I had to look through the manuals but they opened them to the pages I needed and it was simple tables not spaghetti charts/graphs. Also, some people are still being required to draw a system. Everyone either gets the fuel system or gets to pick from what I understand. Good luck.

I'm retiring from the military this fall and have gotten a call from CS after my app was in with them for < 1 week (they left a message so I haven't talked to anyone). What should I expect during the first phone conversation and then afterwards. You say you overprepared for the interview. What did you do to get ready?

Don't know about the interview, but the second phone interview is like the first, but with a little more situational questions. The situational ones were all relating to customer service and how well do you take care of the PAX and get the mission done safely. I should hear early next week if I will get a call back for a sti down / more phone stuff.

Lukin,
During the first phone interview (I only had one), Bernie just asked me what I knew about the company (check out their website), why I was interested, what my background was, etc. Just show some enthusiasm and read up about them on the website and you should be fine. Also, have an example of how you used superior customer service in the course of your job. CS's big focus is on customer service. If they like what they hear, they'll invite you up for an interview.
I had an interview with SkyWest a couple months before my CS interview. SkyWest has a really technical interview (mechanical test, ATP test, weather, climb gradients, Jepps, etc.) and I studied for my CS interview like I studied for my Skywest interview. I also read a couple interview prep books (technical and TMAAT) and prepared some answers for those. I felt overprepared in the sense that most of the interview was spent discussing life at CS and my prior experience in the military.
