Id like to have more exotic aircraft than a C172 on my resume and Planesense seems like a good company to work for and gain some experience.
I’d say wait at least until you hit 750 hours since that’s their advertised minimum. Even at that point though you may not get a call as I’m sure they are bombarded with apps from people who exceed their preferred 1,000TT.

Hate to break it to you but the reality is that guys like you and me are stuck being CFI's for the foreseeable future. Could be worse, imagine getting a regional class date and leaving your old CFI job just to have COVID go down and now you have 1,500hr and nobody to fly for.

Have you seen what the industry is doing lately?

Look man I'm all for optimism so long as it doesn't cloud reality, but that's just the situation right now. Reading what is going on at the regional & majors is more and more troubling by the day. Even if you look outside of the airline industry the fact that 30 million Americans have lost their jobs is nothing short of devastation.

I think if you look at the fact that we still can fly as CFI's is the silver lining in this whole thing. Like I said before it could be worse. Mid to low time CFI's have to build up time anyways so it's almost a wash for us...so long as we keep our jobs..

You never know what they are after. Maybe they want pilots with low experience, rather than a spoiled airline pilots.
The truth is that my buddy American Airlines Junior FO (former Regional check airmen and Captain) 6000h tt and myself 2400h tt, regional FO are applying for this job. It is a sad time for our industry and we will all have to endure it together. I want to believe better times are coming.

Hang in there guys!

How stringent are they on the 100 miles from a reporting base? Fiancé is looking at a school that’s “about” 150 miles from the closest base.

I heard a rumor that PS FOs don't fly live legs as a policy. I understand the logic of FOs flying empty legs to log the sole manipulator PIC time, but is it true FOs are never PF when there are owners aboard?
