Has anyone in a recent class been at their published mins, or know of others who were? I'm currently right at 750tt as a CFI and PlaneSense has been my preferred job for a while. I submitted an app but just curious as to my chances getting an interview right at mins. I read a few posts back they were only considering those with 1000tt, is that still the case? TIA.

I recommend sending an updated resume every month or so to show you’re still interested. A cover letter helps too if you haven’t already added one.

I was hired over 4 years ago as a DEC and that is how they did it then. My initial training and checkride was as an FO (but paid as a Captain). After the checkride I did 3 rotations as an FO (again paid as a Captain) then entered the normal Captain upgrade program.

I applied back in June at 750TT then again in September at 820TT. A week later I got scheduled for an October interview. Got a CJO a week after the interview and am scheduled for a January class date. I’ll probably be at 900TT by the time I start.

As for flying I'm part time (1 rotation per month) and I averaged 44 hours per month in 2022 (Jan-Nov).
