Though I work in AK, I reside in Virginia. My address is within range of 2 PlaneSense bases, so that's not the problem. I guess it's just a waiting game until they give me a call.

I just wish there was a way to jump ahead.

I applied months ago with an internal rec and 1000 TT and still haven’t heard back. By now I’ve got closer to 1150. That seems to be a common theme according to aviation interviews. A lot of folks seem to get calls 4-6 months after applying. Unfortunately I think they’re just swamped on applications and qualified candidates.

Any ideas on how to get fast tracked into their next training class? Feel free to PM me.

Flying PC-12s around the US and Caribbean is exactly the kind of flying I wanted to get into when I got started. I think PlaneSense is a solid match.
Sounds like Grant Aviation. I was there at one point and also Hageland.

Hageland was before my time but I hear plenty of stories. Grant Aviation is a fantastic company to fly for.

yeah I was furloughed and then Hageland went under. Not long after I went over to Grant. My room was the one in the hallway next to the kitchen at the Dump House.

They also announced that they are planning on hiring 10 pilots a month. Also they are growing the fleet next year by adding a minimum of 3 PC-24s and 6 PC-12s.

I'm glad they finally came through with 7/7. The IP stipend is pretty nice too, it's $20k a year ON TOP of the daily rate we already get.

Happy to see pilots at Planesense finally getting the pay and QOL they have deserved for years. I still wouldn't trust GA, but seems like he has finally realized the only way to keep airplanes staffed is to actually take care of the pilots. Now vote in a union so all these gains can't be taken away on a whim!
