First Officer candidates with over 1200 hours total time can qualify for our Accelerated Captain Pathway Program. These candidates are hired as a PC-12 First Officer and have the opportunity to be selected for the Captain role early. After First Officer training, these pilots can elect to complete a one-day Upgrade Evaluation. Successful completion of the Upgrade Evaluation results in Captain pay and selection into a Captain training process.
This means once FO IOE is completed you can apply for the Accelerated Captain Program. What they have been doing is once a pilot applies they conduct the Upgrade Evalution (which is done in their PC-12 Mission Fit trainer) during the pilot's next rotation. If you pass the evaluation, and most pilots do, you start drawing Captain pay while continuing to fly as FO until the next Captain Upgrade class.

To the Planesense pilot (bald head, drives a White Toyota pickup) who just got off the crew van in CLT at Wilson Air…
YOU ARE A FIRST CLASS D-BAG!!!
The van driver literally loaded your bags, and drove you directly to your car and dropped you off and you didn’t tip the man a penny. What kind of moron are you? This is exactly what gives pilots a bad rap.
But don’t worry, when he took me to my car, I tipped him for both of us.

Yep we have several knuckleheads at this company, just like most other companies out there. I bet he expenses the $3 dollar tip though.

I think they still tend to prefer to hire people form the Northeast. They are a nationwide operation now, but I got the feeling from talking with them at one job fair that the customer base and main operations are still centered around the Northeast corridor.

Personally I never had success, and I always tried to empahsize in my app that I planned to move to a reporting base. I applied three times to them, really wanted to work for the company, never got any acknowldgement of my apps. Gave up arfter the last time applying at 1400 hours and exceeding all their hiring mins.

As for hiring they still want you to be within 100 miles of a base to guarantee that you will have no more than a two hour drive to the base.

Anyone know roughly how long it takes the chief pilot's office to review applications? I submitted an application and less than 24 hours later got an email saying that HR had forwarded the application to the chief pilot's office. I meet their minimums for a "competitive candidate" so was just curious. Thanks for any info!
