YEARS! must be a captain in the 12 and get in line. Did I mention years? Been a captain for awhile now. I'm due in a year or two. That's IF the 24s come in on schedule. Currently upgrading folks to the Nextant and then upgrade to PIC. Then to the 24. Truth is, people are coming up for recurrent that haven't flown the 24. There's one.

For somebody coming online today I would expect a minimum of 5 years before you get your hands on a jet. If the Nextants are gone by then, expect that 5 years to get stretched out farther. High seniority Nextant pilots will transition out of the fleet and therefore slow the PC-12 to PC-24 movement for a little bit.

Right now people in the right seat of the Nextant can either take a PIC Nextant slot or a PIC PC-24 slot, whichever comes up first. This will change in the future with direct PC-24 SIC slots from PC-12 captain.

JMO127 - Not sure where you heard about pilots not flying the 24? Everybody typed in the 24 has flown the airplane. Some much more than others due to operational needs (Line pilots>office pilots), but everybody's got some time. Recurrent classes aren't till early 2019.

Default Part-time PC-12 Captain out of CLT

What would the QoL be for a part time PC-12 Captain be out of CLT?

Looks like the website says 8 on 20 off, what does that usually translate to? (I.e. what day does the 8 start?)

What would you expect to take home $$ part-time?

Thanks
PP

Starting pay for a Captain is $50,000 so a part time Captain would be $25,000. However it is my understanding that the only base that has part time Captains is PSM

Unless they changed it PT pilots were only available to PSM based pilots. The nice thing is that PT Captains are also eligible for OT if they want it. So you could make a lot more than $25k.

Also for those that haven’t heard, starting Jan 1 starting salaries will increase $2k for FO’s and $10k for PIC.

Good first step. Sounds like the new DO is working out?

You don't need it. Easy straight forward. If you can fly an ILS raw data, you'll be fine. If you can answer questions honestly and genuinely lol like you want to be there you'll do fine. If you can read plates, SIDS, STARS, APP, and VFR charts you'll be fine. If you can brief, you'll be fine.

Skype will consist of 2 HR folks and 1 chief pilot. Straight forward stuff. They will send the plates etc about a half hour or so before. Nothing tricky. No gotchas. Just a conversation.
