For the love of God please stop whining.
The hardships you face in this job are so totally unfair, why oh why do they keep treating you this way? It's a job, you are an employee, you are on the clock. Starting late on day 1 and ending on day 7 so you can be all cozy in your bed early on day 8 is for vacation, not for work. Grow up. This job is work much of the time, go figure. This isn't some part time after school gig at the local country club.
So totally unfair. You should be able to work less for way more money, and they should be grateful that you grace them with your presence.
Life is hard.

4am on day one, probably airport standby all day sitting in the computer room on a cheap ass computer chair, then a 2 hour repo somewhere as you try not to fall asleep.
Back to PSM at 2100 on day 8, but then they have you sit standby "just in case something comes up", even though you don't have enough duty time to do anything productive, and there are 3 other crews on standby within 100 miles of PSM.

It’s actually a pretty fair assessment of what has happened. HwkrPlt worked at PS long enough ago to remember some of those days.
I think the rest of the comments are just whining. There’s a lot of whiners at PS. Some of the loudest whiners have worked there for many many years, but they are still there. I enjoyed my time for sure.

You should have seen the crap the FOC pulled after rest first was put into place. There would literally be 5 crews sitting on standby in BED. Thankfully that stopped after not too long, but some of the other things they did were just mind boggling, like the aforementioned sitting standby at 2100 local in PSM on day 8 with 3 hours of duty time left. Or being the northeast standby airplane while sitting in SDF.
I don't regret working at PS at all, it was great experience, but I just can't see any incentive for someone with ATP mins to work there in this job market.
Toonces, where are you going?
