It's not overly complicated, but it sure wouldnt hurt to be prepared. We have had some guys wash out of the last few classes. If you fail any part of it(written, sim, or IOE), they send you home. Plus, there is a potential for a quick upgrade here. Upgrade has a lot to do with how well you do on all training and checking events.

Its really pretty good training and they want you to succeed, but the better prepared you are, the easier it will be. Some have the mentality that 'if I made it this far, they wont let me fail'. Dont believe that for a minute. Come prepared, be ready to study more when you get on property, and have a good attitude and you will be fine.
