Starting training in October, and haven't received the training prep email yet from corporate... For those that have been through training, What all should I expect in training and what do you recommend I study for preparation? Thanks in advance

International trips are mainly to Canada and the Bahamas, and the occasional unicorn Carribbean Island, regardless of assigned base.
Don't worry about studying anything prior to receiving the prep e-mail. If you are really a go getter, just get your hands on a PC-12NG POH and become familiar with it. Look back a few pages for what to expect in training.

Hey everyone,
I've been tossing the idea of going to PlaneSense for a while now, and i've finally come back around to it, and this time it's looking more likely. But i'm hoping some of you can answer some of my questions before I submit an application.
My first one, and a big one for me, is going to sound really weird for someone looking to get a new job...But what is the companies policy on vacation time, paid or unpaid? I ask because I am newly engaged and would likely be at the company just about a year or just under a year when I needed to take time off for my wedding and honeymoon. I have no problem taking the time off unpaid if we get minimal vacation time in the first year, but this is definitely something that is a big concern for me because I dont want to earn a bad reputation within the company, or possibly face reprimand for taking an extended vacation for my wedding and honeymoon.
My next question (and i know its been answered before but id really like it clarified) is what's the deal with the 8 days on and 6 days off? Specifically, how often/what are the odds that you're home on those 8 days, or youre away the entirety of the 8 days. Again, being newly engaged I would prefer to be home more often than not, but even being able to be home for one night halfway through the shift is a win in my book. I live 20 minutes from MCO.
Some other general questions include
How does the Sunday Premium work? Whats it all about?
What are the chances for pay raises once the jets come in?
(I'm interested in making a long term career at any company where I find a good find and a steady living wage)
Though the chances are slim to none, are there any travel privileges?
Do pilots get yearly uniform pay by chance?
That's all I can think of right now. I appreciate the answers in advance and look forward to hearing what everyone has to say!

No vacation year one. Afterwards, vacations are bid in seniority order. You can schedule swap to get up to 10 days off. Unpaid time off would be at the discretion of the Dir of Ops - you'd have to address that in an interview.
Whether your home during those 8 days is a crapshoot. We are moving to Tue/Wed start days so that will change how we have operated in the past. As a PSM based pilot I found myself home or on day trips more often. I have also seen other base pilots home during their cycle on an infrequent basis as well.
Sunday premium is ending when we go to new Tue/Wed schedules.
The jet pay scale is appreciably higher than the PC-12 scale. You'll be at the company for a few years before seeing a jet.
Uniforms are provided by the company and they will allow $100 in reimbursed alteration expenses per year.

Is that 10 days off maximum on top of your current 6, or thats 4 additional days? Figured most of this would be interview questions. I just don't want to go in with false hopes and then a year down the line find out theyre not going to let me have a honeymoon. Or go to my wedding.
Is the ending of Sunday Premium pay going to bring an increase to regular pay? Or is it just a tactic to save money overall?
Never expected jet anytime soon. As I mentioned, it would be a determining factor on whether or not I wanted to stay with the company as a career instead of a temporary stepping stone after 2-5 years. If I do make the move to PlaneSense, im not going just to get my hours and bail out. And making much more on the jet side of things would pique my interest into making a lifelong career of the place.

Yes, it's a maximum of 10 days off in a row. People have gotten married before at PlaneSense; life marches on regardless of your job. A few I know just planned their honeymoon during their bid vacation.
Sunday premium pay is ending because it was a carrot to get folks to work on Sundays. Otherwise, you would be getting every other Saturday off - sucks when you have a spouse that works or kids in school. Since we are shifting to all Tue/Wed starts, no need for the Sunday premium carrot. There is no compensatory increase in pay as a result. The company has been raising pay in other areas but nothing directly correlated to Sunday pay.

Alex, if you have the minimums for part 135 you should look at becoming a Mountain Air Cargo C-208 floater pilot. Work four weeks and the fifth is PTO. You can move PTO weeks around if you need a few weeks in a row. Starting pay's gone up to 42k and if you work a PTO week you get paid double. Maybe not a carreer move but might work out for you in the short term.
