Extremely interesting for sure. How certain are you that Citation Shares will follow suit this time? Can they financially keep up with this kind of pay? They don't have the second richest man in the world as their owner, though Citation owning 75% isn't bad. It still isn't a Warren Buffet interest and I am thinking that might matter. Thoughts?

If they don't follow suit, how are they going to keep pilots or attract new ones? No ones knows for 100% sure if they can keep up because their financial records are not public. Keep in mind though that we charge the most for fractional ownership. I believe the NetJets management had said they couldn't afford the raises the pilots eventually negotiated, and look where they are now. Don't forget that Textron is backing Cessna. As a side note, I think Warren Buffet is the third richest man, at least that's what I just heard on TV (not that I believe everything I hear on TV).

Hey Chris, what's a billion or two amongst friends?

Anyways, I agree with you that Citation Shares is going to have to do something to compete, but will they be able to keep up with this kind of pay, that is what I am asking?

Citation Shares is not international....correct? Do you feel the US market is going to sustain all these fractionals that are going to have to play catch up (as I believe you correctly stated) in order to stay competitive?

I would like to see what their plans are for competing with NetJets.

What is the time frame for all this to happen? Would one know prior to a December interview?

9999, i think the fractional industry will be able to sustain. A big chunk of the business travel that fueled the Major's huge profits in the 90s have migrated to fractional ownership due to the time wasted in airport security lines. Chris, back me up on this assertion, or am I all wet?

I have a gut feeling Citation Shares is going to do alright, but I have to ask the questions anyway.

Only time will tell if we can compete or not. CS is international as far as we go to Mexico, Canada, and the Caribbean. However, we only go international because that's where the customers drive us to go. Our CEO has stated he wants to keep the company small and fly to the least international places possible.

Satchip, I think we will know about a CS raise by mid-December--but that's just an educated guess. You're right though, the people that can afford fractionals aren't going back to the airlines any time soon. Also, the rich are getting richer and most of our customers come back after their contracts are up and renew or even upgrade.

Not sure to be honest. I have not looked into them.

I really like Citation Shares. They are small, stable, and the people that fly into our FBO on them have nothing but good to say about them. That is why I am asking these kinds of questions. I have heard nothing but good about them and I am interested in possibly working for them when I retire from the military. Thanks
