Lodging is provided during training, along with a rental car to share with the others in your training class. The training is one week of indoc in St. Petersburg and three weeks in West Palm Beach at Flight Safety. You are paid per diem during training ($2/hr).

The website says that you need to be with in 120 minutes of a base. Does that mean that you can pick any of the bases. IE: live in the NE and drive to BOS for your week of fling.

Well, if you like going on "flings" - you can certainly drive to get to them! Yes, I drive about 1.5 hours to work each week from my home to the airport I am based out of... not a problem.
