Yes you must find your own way to your base to begin your tour...no cass or other Jumpseat agreements...

I spoke with someone in recruiting a few weeks ago. He said that he believed they were done hiring for 2007 but are continuing to interview for the Jan. class. He said the process takes about 4-5 months from receipt of resume to class assignment. So it sounds like even if they are done hiring for 07, the process is continuous and will keep moving for the first of the year hires. I'm not with NJ (yet!).... sent my app in last week. So can anyone from NJ chime in on this?

A very wise man once told me to pick a job based on Pay and Work Rules -- NEVER pick a job based solely upon the type of jets in a company's fleet.

I have friends flying for some real DIRT-BAG operations and getting abused daily just because they wanted to fly something heavy across the pond.

Food for thought......

I think it varies a lot from class to class. In my indoc class a few weeks ago, I was the only X guy. There were about 8-10 guys going to the G200.

I know there are at least 3 X guys in the Oct indoc class. If I had a choice I would have picked anything but the X, but that's just me.

Can you get hired into the G200 without any Gulfstream time?

What don't you like about the X? I know the X crews work hard, but I hear the G200 and Sovereign fleets are getting busier. At least you didn't get a non-APU aircraft like the Ultra or Beechjet.

The company you were working for paid for you to get one-on-one consulting so you could get your next job and leave them??? Not calling you a liar, but you gotta admit it sounds a little odd....

Well I haven't even started aircraft training yet but I was hoping for something with shorter legs but I'm sure the X will be fun to fly. It is true that some of the other fleets are catching up a little bit. And yes I would have chosen the X over the non-APU aircraft.

Well, back to looking over the new proposal.
