So I am ready to submit my app and have found the link for the PDF application on the web site. Can anyone give a somewhat tech illiterate guy tips to fill it out on the computer opposed to printing it out and pen and inking the whole thing? I would hate for my chicken scratch to be the first impression.

My advise is to print out a couple of copies and find a typewriter if your handwriting is that bad. But honestly, they aren't grading you on penmanship. I filled mine out neatly by hand and now I work there.
Maybe I'll see if they'll trade me a couple of vacation days for creating them a nice-looking fillable form.

Good luck!

I can......don't. I did this and it was returned with a quote stating "We do not accept copies of our application." If you can get that PDF file to print on the original, then you should be ok. I scanned the whole document in my computer and used a PDF file to fill it out, printed the thing, mailed it in, and they sent it back with the above statement....lol.
I just filled it out by hand and sent it in again, they sent me the application accepted e-mail shortly thereafter. Good luck.

Anyone have any ideas?
I'm a 5700 TT (military) C-130 guy with an app at NJA for a little over 4 months now and I have heard nothing from them. Anyone have any ideas on how to get noticed at NJA or is it when it happens, it happens?
Also, does anyone know how to update their app with NJA? The paper app is a bit antiquated, but it's what they do, so no big deal, but it sure makes it hard to update.
Thanks.

Check your acceptance email. Mine had an update form attached, to be used if they had not called after the 11 month timeout. Not sure if they are calling based on competitive factors in the app. With 5700, you might still be a on the low side of competitive time (based on comments from NJA folks who post here). If you only have the paper version, you could try an email with the info and request the form. If it really is running over 4 months, that's not what I was hoping to hear. Please post if you get called.
Good luck

Good idea, but no update form. And I should have thought of the obvious, an e-mail which I just did (and yes, I do fly planes with this brain...). Thanks for the suggestion.
If I'm lucky enough to get a call, I'll let you know. And good luck to you as well.

Anyone know if I had an interview offer that I HAD to turn down for bad timing reasons, etc., do I just reply to that last email from Derinda (Oh yea, I saved it...) or do I need to start the whole app process again.
Please, only those who know, not guesses.
Thank you.
