So will these 22 aircraft be for growth or to replace Avanti Is, moving towards an all II fleet?

Great news for Avantair pilots! Those Avanti IIs are great airplanes. Plus, it looks like Avantair will successfully lock-up delivery slots for the next few years - that's a good way to thwart any potential competitors that might want to use the Avanti.... That's a very good strategic move on its part. No other fractional can touch the P180 in terms of efficiency and price.

Except for Alpha when the Grob gets online.

Geronimo,

Good point. How expensive is the Grob? It looks like an awesome airplane - nice glass cockpit. Good for you guys.

I believe the list price is somewhere around 7.1 million.

How about the P180?

The Avanti II is 6.5 million and the Phenom 100 they will be receiving in 09 is just shy of 3 million. I am sure Avantair (as well as alpha) is getting a discounted price.

Is Grob pronounced like "nob", "robe", or "rope"? I've forgotten all the German I never knew.

I've heard the nob and robe versions. Not sure which is correct.
