You meant 91 right?

Fractionals are not charter. Although we can and do operate under part 135. A person off the street cannot just walk up and say "take me to ***." The ONLY passengers are owners in the program or prospective owners on a demo flight. Without getting into details, an owner must choose whether his flights are to be part 91K or 135.

OK you guy's are legit, are some fractionals, just working around the regs to keep pilots under 91 when they should be operating under 135 or 121??

As far as I know, the "major" fractional operators (QS, CW, FX, CS) are all under 135 or 91K now (post 9/11). After 9/11/01 when 135/121 operators were allowed back in the sky, NetJets was the only frac flying at 100%, because we had always been 100% 135 trained and certified.

Eagleplt - please add me to your list. Thanks...Baja.

I was in the same boat as eglplt and made the same decision. NJA here I come!! Flex appears to be a great company and the HR staff was great as well, but I just was more impressed with NJA. Besides, you cant deny that the contract isnt the best in the industry right now! Good luck to all.

Ok, I am new here and not an airline pilot. It was hard to get through the acronyms but I think I did it. Why do you want to leave ASA? Thats my dream airline.

If I were just getting into aviation and ready to make the move to the regionals then ASA would be my dream job also. I have been in the airlines for 9 years and 6 at ASA. It is time to move on. There is a point where it just doesnt pay enough anymore for the amount of BS that goes with the job. I love flying and the best part of my job at ASA is when the gear is in the well and the door is closed. Once I get on the ground in ATL then the inefficiencies begin. Chalk that up with a difficult commute to DFW and you will have enough reasons to move on. NetJets here I come!!
