Default Question for NetJets Pilots

Hi there,
I have been sitting on a NetJet Application for a while, and I have a few questions for anybody that has the knowledge and five minutes for an answer.
I fly left seat on a LJ EMS, 3500TT and 750PiC, and have been waiting to get my 1000 PiC to try the big ones, I just don’t think I could wait for SW or JB at my present position and therefore I am looking at my options.
The more I look at NJ the better it looks, to a point that if in, I just might call it a day and make a career out of it, there are just a few aspects of the job that I am not sure about, and that is where I could do with some help.

I am somewhat limited on people skills, how much babysitting does the F/O do with pax on board? I keep having nightmares about dry roasted peanuts instead of salted ones….I just don`t I could Kiss rear ends for days on end, I am not a bear, I just don’t care for prima donnas!

What are the chances of “landing” a Midsize/Large(Falcon) cabin as an entry position? I really enjoy Long/International trips, and would rather fly a larger plane.

What are the requirements to fly in Europe?

If hired, can you work for anybody else(91/135)? How about non flying position(Sim instructor)?

I appreciate all the info and suggestions anybody might have

Sounds like you'd be doing yourself and Netjets a favor by waiting for the PIC time and heading to a 121 gig.

Jmack was being polite. Let me elaborate for you Sk3,

We are in the business to taking care of the owners and Marquis card holders. WE (the pilots) need to do what it takes to take care of them and earn their continued business for many years. Our owners/card holders buy time on the airplane and that gets US (all netjet empolyees) paid. If the owners/card holders arent happy and we do not retain them as our long term customer then it is lost revenue for ALL including the pilots!! If you do not have the "people skills" and do not like "kissing rear-end for days on end", nor cater to primma donna's then you will not fit in here. Further, I would not like you to work here and I am sure I speak for several co-workers also. You would be a risk for an owner having an unenjoyable experience thus, causing him to take his/her business elsewhere.

To sum it up, you would be a risk to OUR (NJ employees) job security due to your lack of needing/wanting to do what it takes to get the job done. At NJ, you need to "do what it takes" in order to benefit from the great contract that thousands before you worked so hard for.

I am sure there are hundreds of pilots currently on our seniorty list that would love to fly a midsize/large cabin airplane to include myself. Sorry dude, it's seniority and you will need to pay your dues like the rest of us. This company is in high demand due to the great contract. There are thousands of highly qualified and professional pilots out there willing to do what it takes here and pay the dues. Go to the airlines. You will do better there.

Any questions now?

Shouldn't you be looking into becoming a cargo pilot? No passengers to worry about; no ass kissing. Long hauls. There's an outfit down in Ft. Lauderdale called Focus Air who flies 747 cargo. You may want to take a look at them.

ASA,
your right, I was trying to be polite, but you said it very well. Better than I could. Don't need prima donnas in the cockpit either.

ASACapt,

That is just the kind of replay i was looking for, and the reason i was asking advice, i would not want to take a job that i will not enjoy from somebody tha could be better then me!

Your schedule and general condition seem great, i just needed some extra info.

Thanks

Jmack
What ASACapt said was polite and to the point, yet you are saying that he did better then you could, sounds like you can only kiss the rear ends of the ones that are paying your check!
I am not a prima donna, you could have told me the same thing in your own words, i have a thick skin!
Not trying to be a smart a$$, just asking for advice from people that have a different line of work, that`s all!
Thanks and i guess i`ll see you in Teb!
