Any XOJET'ers on the board?
Just looking to get some information from anyone who currently works there. Do you know how many pilots they plan on hiring this year? How many planes they are recieving this year? General QOL?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My buddy just got hired and went through INDOC last week. He said they are going to hire 58 this year but next year they will hire a lot more for the 60 Challenger 300's on order. I was trying to see if this was an accurate number from someone who worked there. I think he said that they had over 900 resumes on file already! Sounds like a great place to work though.

Plenty of relevant info on www.flightinfo.com.

Its Flightinfo, but here is one of the posts from someone who works there:
Domiciles:
Effective January 1, our Tier 1 domiciles are as follows:
-Sacramento
-San Francisco Bay Area
-Los Angeles
-San Diego
-Phoenix
-Denver
-Chicago
-Atlanta
-Miami
-Dallas
-New York
-Washington DC
-Seattle
You need to live within 100 miles of your assigned city. Not sure if that's going to be based on distance to a specific airport, I'm sure more clarification will come out. As it is now, it's a safe assumption that most airports within 100 miles of the city will be considered part of that domicile. Tier 1 domiciles are eligible for either our new 8 on 6 off schedule or the 15 on 13 off schedule.
Tier 2 domiciles are only for the 15/13 schedule and will be considered on an individual basis. Basically, you'll need to live near an airport that has satisfactory airline service for it to be considered Tier 2.
Vacation:
8 days off per year for years 1-4
16 days off per year after year 5
Sick time:
5 days off per year.
Pay:
1st year PIC 90k
14 year PIC 145k
extra days are paid at 1.5 day rate, based on 205 (or 195) days per year.
(The pay scales are incredibly difficult to explain without looking at the tables. What they accomplish though are yearly raises based on annual reviews, and then even larger raises if certain company performance goals are met. If you are doing your job, you'll get a raise. If you're doing your job and the company has met its goals, then you'll get an even bigger raise. If the goal is not met, pay does NOT go down. I know, it's clear as mud, but that's what it is.)
I think the FO pay is like $52,500? Not sure but its close.
Hope this helps.

Any more bene info?
Hey Falcon, thanks for all the info.... can you dig up a little more about Health Benefits (how much on average to pilots pay per month)? How about soft money (i.e. tips, etc.) and per diem amounts?
Do you come home on the 8th day? Does everyone always start on day 1 of their tour or are there instances of not being used the first and second days? (I know some CS guys who routinely fly only 4-5 days of their 7 day tour).
Any other XO guys out there.... we'd love to hear from you.

from flight info
Do they pay your medical insurance 100%? Yes, for the employee. We pay about 10% for the family
do you work more than 182 days per year? yes, 205. But I have not been on the road for an entire rotation in months. Got home for 2 nights in the middle of the last rotation, watched Sunday football from the comfort of my own couch.
How's the union? Don't have one. Is that a bad thing if it's not needed?
How much is year 1 FO pay? 50K. How long to upgrade at NJA? Less than a year here.
Can you live anywhere and base at home airport? Yes.
I'm not trying to take anything away from NetJets. But to say it's the only place to go is a subjective statement. Does NetJets have a business model that results in 18% deadheads? Does NetJets have a model that can 'turn-off' outside charter to minimize the need to sell off flights to outside vendors during the peak travel season. Does NetJets have the ability to market itself to customers outside its own client/owner base in order to fill that repo flight to Hawaii?
If yes, then I stand corrected. If not, it's time to admit that there is a new player in town.

Do they have a fatigue clause? We don't have a contract, so no we don't. But we get 12 hours of rest after 2 consecutive duty days exceeding 12 hours. We also get 12 hours of rest after a red eye.
Do they get you crew meals? (or a choice of meals?) They sure do! Those Rudy's lemon bars are great. They also pay for all of our meals on the road. It's a tough call between the Kung Pao Chicken or Double Pan Fried Noodles at PF Changs...maybe I'll get both!
Hows the training? Single-day 6 month recurrent at Simuflight and progressive check on the 12 month recurrent.
Are you paid during training? We sure are!
Can you say NO, I'm not going, it's not safe? We sure can. I just did it last week. Chief Pilot was 100% supportive of my decision.
All that without a union!!!
