When I interviewed I don't think they were over optimistic. The only thing they said about the new airplanes is that they would eventually replace the beechjets. The said that hopefully the pay would increase with a new contract. As for upgrade, they said they couldn't begin to guess. They said now it is somewhere around seven years. The interview went well, and the interviewers were nice and professional. One of the other office people (not associated with the interview) got his panties in a wad because one of the other interviewees left his briefcase in a room where the hr person told him to when he went for his sim check, and they went in there for a meeting. He was totally unprofessional.

Good post Beechbum. Just consider this: Netjets offers 100 pilot domiciles (live where you want), roughly $60K to start, three types of schedules to meet your needs and a wide variety of fleet types. Flexjet and Citationshares have both increased their starting salaries to roughly the same amount and both offer new airplanes. Upgrade times at Flex and CS are both running at 3-5 years from what I hear. FLOPS continues to lose pilots daily and its starting pay is roughly $20K less. Which would you choose if you were hired by all four? FLOPS would rank dead last.

Once again, I will go with an open mind. I am a five, soon to be six year f/o with no hope of an upgrade. We too are shrinking. The pilots are leaving at about one a day. I will make the decision that is best for my family. For all I know, they may not like me.

I wish you luck. I hope you have also applied to the other fractionals because you should really have "options" instead of just going to Flight Options which may not be your best long term position. Getting hired by Netjets is like winning the lotto these days... I wish they would call me.

I did receive an email from DM at Netjets in January with regards to a future interview. I understand that they have become rether stringent these days. Mainly because they can. I spoke to Citation Shares. They said to call when I was living in one of their bases. I sent a resume to Flex Jet. They have not contacted me as of today. Like most others, that is what I have going on in the fractional world.
