Default avantair vs airlines

im currently at a regional airline and I have an interview with avantair...anyone out there know the benfits of changing and know anything about avantair/benefits

what are your times? FO or CA? I'm just wondering what it takes to get an interview there. thanks

The benefits versus the regionals are a fixed schedule not bad pay and a awesome variety of flying. It is also much safer in the fractional bussiness as far as job security and with gas doing what it is doing I think avantair will really have a great value to offer people who want to go 390kts on less the 100 gal an hour.

Throw in a resume there time requirement is flexable depending on the type of flying you do. It really is a great place to work. Quick upgrade only about a year.

I'm at 1150TT, 550 multi, 315 jet. Current 121. Is that competitive from what you've seen? I know their posted mins are 2500TT...

I guess things have tightened up they really are aiming at the mins they might give a little but im not sure.

Just go ahead and apply. Nothing bad can happen by doing that. I would MUCH rather be working for Avantair than any regional. Everything is better. I'm dying to get in, and hoping to hear the results of the interview in a couple of days. (OH please, OH please, OH please....)

They seem to need pilots, and you have a good chance. All impressions point to this being a ground floor worth jumping onto. Hope this helps. Good luck.
