NetJets and iPhone
#21
Something that isn't being considered here is that NJA uses proprietary software. We use more data capability than almost any other BB user in the world. It is a lot more in depth than just surfing the net and texting your friends. Our BBs are fully integrated with the company servers. 90% of our use is company applications, not off the shelf programs/websites.
There is also a lot of testing that must be done on new phones to prove that they will operate on our system. You don't just "switch plans." The BB was tested for a year before it was put into service. Are there better options out there? Maybe. But it would be a very risky proposition to hand out 4000+ new iPhones and find out a week later that they can't reliably handle the applications.
Reasons to switch to iPhone:
Music......We don't use them for music
Pictures...We don't use them for pictures
Internet...We don't use them for surfing the internet
So why would the iPhone be so much "better?"
