Default Latest NJ Indoc Aircraft Assignments

1 Ultra, 7 Encore +s, 16 XLs, 6 Citation Xs, and 2 G2s. The planes are currently assigned to you at Indoc (i.e. you don't get to chose). I'm staying with the XL...

That is new. Are they going by seniority pick in the class or just being assigned?

99-
How long did it take you to get an official offer from the interview date? How much notice did you get for your class date? Got a Bud going through the process and is awaiting official news.

I have a friend in class now and I was told they were assigned the planes. You didn't get to pick and seniority had nothing to do with it. I was surprised to hear that, but that's what I was told.

Personally, I would probably rather be flying a 172 for NJA right now instead of a "big" plane for many of the majors waiting for the other shoe to drop.

It took me 15 days to get the offer while it took others about 5 weeks. I don't know what criteria they use to notify who when, but the longer you go without hearing bad news I think you still have a good shot. They gave me a month and a half notice for class date.

What are they basing the decision on? Is it based on your domicile or prior experience or something else entirely? Thanks for the info you posted.

I'd be curious to know about that too. I had heard from friend that if your coming from a T jet ex: regional jet, previous corp exp, they put you in the bigger more high performence equipment. As opposed to someone coming from a cessna 402 or something.

Nope, experience and basin do not matter when it comes to aircraft assingments. A guy from an F-16 could go to the ultra and a guy from a turbo-prop could get the Sovereign or G-200.....as far as someone coming from a "Cessna 402" or any other piston, those days are long gone my friend. I doubt NJ will hire a guy without turbine experience again. Its hard enough getting in without jet time.....
