I don't think they would let a retired Marine anywhere near their plane.

Just ask. We always give tours, happy to do so. It has always been my philosophy that I never know who I'm talking to... Who knows, maybe you're a multi-millionair who likes to fly. We should all treat you, and everybody, like a potential customer.

We are hiring all we can. The training department is maxed out, with at most 8 new hires per class, and roughly one class per month. I'm not in the training dept., and those numbers are just what I hear. The sim is the choke point. We should be hiring for the foreseeable future. I can't speak to the flexibility of the mins. We are still not hiring in the east, due to most of our current pilot base coming from the east. Internal recs are recommended, but definitly not required. Good luck!

I got a call from Avantair this past week, and they sent me some application paperwork. At one point I worked abroad, but due to the company not signing my contract, not paying OT, not reimbursing expenses, hiring FOs with zero time to speak of, pressure to take off in a broken aircraft overweight, etc, I decided to leave and was gone the next day. They weren't happy. My question is, does anybody know what the consequence of checking the "no" box next to the "may we call for a reference" is?
