Is Avantair still receiving airframes? I thought I read there is 50+ coming through 2013? That's gotta allow for some upgrades.

Yes, we took one a few weeks back and have another in completions in Denton Texas right now. There will be more upgrades this year some time.

6 more airplanes this year.

If Avantair does REALLY well we could take as many as 8.

I see upgrades AND hiring in our future!

Also did you know that Avantair made a profit for the 3rd quarter?

A little context would be good here....

"The company said in a release that third-quarter earnings were boosted by a one-time gain, a $2.95 million credit resulting form the termination of a vendor contract and reimbursement for services not performed. Without the non-recurring credit, the company’s net loss would have been $1.1 million, or 7 cents a share."

Good point! It is good none the less. In addition I think this is important as well...

"Operating income of $3.2 million, or $0.3 million excluding a $2.95 million nonrecurring credit resulting from the termination of a vendor contract and reimbursement for services not performed. This compares with a loss from operations of ($5.2) million in the third quarter of 2008."

So you write a check for 2.95 mil. You don't receive the service you paid for. They refund your money. Whos money is it then? Apparently my "F" in accounting was well deserved.

To be fair I think the point he or she is trying to make is that it is a ONE time deal. That means next quarter if we stay on the same track the profit will not be there.

On the flip side Avantair did have an operational proft. I think this will be able to be duplicated.

Yes, you certainly earned your F. If I give you $20 to mow my lawn. Then you don't do it and give me my back my $20, how much money have I earned?

The $20 goes from the "Expense" catagory and goes into the "Cash on Hand" catagory.

However, your lawn still needs to be mowed...

Yes and our lawn still needs to be mowed but I think I found some one who will do it for $10!
