That may certainly be true and just like the plague of overcompetition that once affected (and still to some extent) the airline industry, it may become an issue of who can bleed the longest.

Default back to the rumor mill for citation shares

this is only rumor but I have heard that Cessna has been put up for sale by Textron Lycoming. If that is the case and Citation Shares has never made any profit, why would they (Textron) keep CS? If they are branching out I would think that it would be in an attempt to become profitable. Just my opinion.

As companies return to profitability, the demand will return. A business model that supports large block-time purchases may be more prevalent than outright share purchases given today's depreciating aircraft values.

I agree. The decline in fractional demand is directly linked to the economy in general. The market for almost everything is smaller than it was two years ago.
