I, for one, am glad those major concerns have now been addressed. That's like "next level" stuff. I can't wait to see what's next.

Making some SIC's happy and ****ing off 99% of Captains doesn't fix the problem. And there is a problem.

That doesn't make SICs happy when they can be at the regionals making 58,000 with a better schedule. Most SICs are already 10/5 or are going to be in the next few months. The schedule change was an attempt to attract more SICs to the company.

It's a good indication of the business model they've got in mind I guess. Bring 'em in cheap, burn 'em out in 6 months, rinse and repeat.

Just a comment from someone on the outside.... Considering....applying for a position. There is a LOT of negative comments about this operation. They have their 14 year pay scale posted...$58,000 to start as a captain in a KingAir?!! You can direct hire at WUP and START at $80,000 with an excellent benefit package and 8/6 schedule. Kind of a no-brainier there.
I read today that Curran has taken over as majority owner to try and grow the business. Any chance the new owners will improve on, well, everything? Since they are paying less than others, do they also CHARGE their customers less?

EAS is a very professional, well put together company with some truly great people at all levels of the organization. But the schedule just stinks on ice. They need to reel it in soon if they care about being competitive with the rest of the industry. They have their roots as a small company, and rather than evolving as they grew to compete with bigger players, they keep pushing to do more with the same. I'm glad the atrocious 12/3 schedule is finally dead and buried, but in this market even 10/5 isn't very appealing. EAS with a 7/7 would be a career destination. No question.

Thanks for that input. For me, I am finishing my career and my first desire would be to return to the 350 but not at $58,000. That aircraft should start at least in the mid seventies.
Do you know if you have to sign training contracts. I already have a type and 6500 hrs just in the King Air. Also wondering if this operation allows you to be home based. Thanks again for the information.

you must live in a base and you will be in a one year seat lock/training contract.

I live 2 hours from the SAT base, is that close enough by their standards? What aircraft are in SAT and are they hiring for that base?

As of now the San Antonio base has a phenom 100, sometimes a Phenom 300 rotates through to fly trips. As a pilot you operate under a 2 hr call out so if you receive a call for a trip you need to be there in 2 hours ready to start. Pop up trips are unusual but that's just the policy.
